Offers two types of membership: Patron, and Adult. Patron memberships are tax-deductible and begin at $100.00 per year and confer special priviledges not available with Adult or Youth memberships. Otherwise, annual dues for adults or youths are $15.00 per year. Annual dues for Patron members are due one year from the time of becoming a Patron member. Adult memberships are renewed every year on September 1, and expire on August 31 of the next year. For those wishing to join after March 1 of any year, a $20.00 membership is available for the remainder of that year and includes the following year.

Membership is required for participation in all TCA related chess events in Tennessee except certain scholastic-only competitions. All members with the exception of Family Memberships receive the Tennessee Chess News which is published quarterly and is the official magazine of the TCA.

Revision of TCA Dues Structure

TCA regular dues $10 per calendar year:

includes right to play in any TCA sponsored event, Tennessee Chess News online (3 issues per year), annual printed TCA yearbook (published every summer)

TCA family membership

includes membership for the entire family, one copy of the TCA yearbook, all other membership benefits listed above

TCA patron membership

includes same rights as regular membership, special patron member card, special patron benefits

Membership for all levels will be 12 calendar months (including the month membership is paid).
